They are a nuisance and do a lot of damage to property.

Oh they are tearing mine up at night the little holes all over, but my yard is mostly hard clay/dirt so the only grass that grows here is native weeds, so when they dig their little holes all they are do is aerating my lawn for free, so I don't mind.
