What is the dumbest thing you've seen/heard in a gun shop?

A mad-as-hell customer walked into a gun shop I used to frequent and slammed his Taurus 24/7 .40 onto the counter. A very good friend of mine is the store manager.
Customer: "I bought this gun in here last week and I want to return it!"
Store Manager: "Why? What's wrong with it?"
Customer: "I can't find ammo for it anywhere. You told me .40 caliber ammo is very popular and is sold everywhere!"
Store Manager: "It is - .40 caliber is one of the most popular pistol calibers around. We sell a bunch of it. See, here's a box right here" (as he reaches for a box on the shelf behind him).
Customer: "That is .40 Smith and Wesson! Everybody has that! This is a Taurus! I can't find .40 Taurus anywhere!"

In the same gun shop, another customer, (cocky young kid) walks up to the counter with a box of 9mm bullets. He places them on the counter and says, "I'll take these." My buddy, the store manager, asks him if he reloads. "No - why!?" asks the kid. "Well," answered my friend, "because those are just bullets, not loaded cartridges." The kid stares at him for a few seconds, gets a little teed off and retorts, "I came in here to buy bullets!" My friend smiled and rang up the sale.

I've kinda done that before... minus the attitude and the store front! I thought I was getting a great deal on some .243win, so I ordered 500... a few days later they were delivered, and when I opened the box, all I could do was laugh! Luckily I do reload, so they didn't go to waist!

I was told today that 9x19, 9x18, 9x17, and 9mm browning were all the same and interchangeable. I asked why they had different names then and he didn't know but be could google it......

Isn't 9x17 (380) a 9mm Browning? At least thats what I always thought.

And I would like to see that guy pit 9x18 through any 9x19 just as long as I'm standing back.

That I could not shoot reloads in a 40 cal. Glock. Refused to sell me 10mm 180 grain Speer FMJ (bullets only). That's when I discovered Nosler 10mm Valu-Packs and mail-order.

I was in Academy in McDonough and the manager (who is a real big doucheschnozzle by the way) was showing a customer one of those MP5 .22LR knockoffs. He told the customer that it had a functioning suppressor. When I advised him that this was incorrect and that the "can" on the end of that was just for looks, he wanted to argue with me. So I proceded to pull up their website on my phone and prove to him that it said "Replica Suppressor". He then proceded to tell me that "Well, it still makes it quieter." I walked out.
