What is the dumbest thing you've seen/heard in a gun shop?

I was at bullseye one day and a young kid, probably just old enough to rent, rents a ar-15. Comes back out a few minutes later and says, "i don't know how to use it"

At bullseye approached by the younger guy who started recently, Tells me that he knows em all... I asked for 762 nagant revolver ammo.
Me: uh do you guys have any Nagant revolver ammo?
Kid: ... What is the caliber?
Me: 762 NAGANT
kid: No the caliber
Me: 762x38 its commonly referred to as 762 NAGANT because that is the only gun that will shoot it.
Kid: we dont have that.
I continued browsing the ammo looking for other things,
Me: hey kid, there is your 762 nagant that I was asking about
Kid: OH THAT AMMO!!! I didnt think we would ever sell that stuff... Whats it go in?

A guy walked up to the lane next to me at Autreys and pulled a little NAA .22 out of a white plastic bag, loaded it and proceeded to try to fire it. He was squeezing that trigger like crazy and said "I've never seen a trigger this hard to pull.". I said, "you have to cock the hammer first.". "Oh, thanks" was his reply.

Had an older gentleman tell me the little SS North American Arms Derringer .22 revolver he carried was the same one he carried while he was in 'special forces' during the Korean War. Now the Korean War ended in 1953. Stainless Steel wasn't used in firearms until 1960. Also, I don't think the NAA company wasn't in business in '53....

Me: I am here to pick up my S&W revolver.
Them: What's the name and model number?
Me: C*****, S&W model 58.
Them: There is no such thing as a model 58. What caliber is it?
Me: Yes, there is a model 58 and it is a .41 magnum.
Them: I will check under your name, but sir, there is no such thing as a S&W M58 in .41 magnum.
Me: Just check under my name.
Them: I checked and there is a revolver under your name, but it is a M29 and it is a .44 magnum. In the future, please know what model you are receiving. I will go get it.
Me: Thanks, and could I speak with the manager, thanks.
Them: Here it is, see it is.......well, I have never seen one of them.
Manager: May I help you.
Me: Yes, explain to this gentleman that there is a S&W M58 and it is in .41 magnum.
Manager: Well, to be honest with you, I have never heard of one, but apparently they do make them.
Me: Well, yes they used to make them. Can I do the paperwork now and leave?
