What is the dumbest thing you've seen/heard in a gun shop?

I took my friend chooting about a year ago. Won't say the range it his name, but his dumb ass shot the wall of the range(about 4 feet down the range and 4 lanes over). I looked at him, took the gun and left the range. He gone.

Come on, admit it. We're all on to that, "I have a friend" story line.

An older gent was showing his much younger lady how to properly handle a firearm, he sets up, casts that G-lock like hes goin fishin, and pops off a round, about 8" off center at 5 yards. He then casts out for his second shot, off paper... looks around to see if anyone was watching, and then boasts to his companion, "See... Same hole!"

i've heard some dumb stories but this beats all

Had a girl shooting beside me at a gun store / range. I thought she was doing a lot of dry fires. Then she ask me to help her see why her gun was not shooting. I checked for a live round and dropped the mag and discovered she had the ammo in backward. She said it was much easier to load that way than the other way.

A guy at the Academy gun counter in McDonough just told a young couple looking at a handgun w/laser today that:

1) "experts say lasers are useless for self defense and are just intimidators", noting further that "hardened criminals are not intimidated by lasers".
2) "the laser isnt necessary anyways since you can only shoot within 10 ft for self defense in GA and that beyond that you have a duty to try and escape"

My head had to be purple within 10 seconds. I kindly asked the couple to please disregard that advice and take a basic self defense course from a qualified instructor as soon as possible if they are serious about self defense. Somehow I left without begging the guy to just sell guns and quit giving advice. I hope no one gets killed trying to calculate 10 feet while they or their loved ones are in grave danger.

LMAO! If he were smart, he should have said the laser itself would burn a hole through a perp, pulling the trigger is just backup if the laser batteries are low.

Im not a big laser guy, but I think anyone with a dot jumping around center mass has something extra to consider (even if its just a fleeting thought).
