What is the dumbest thing you've seen/heard in a gun shop?

Had a girl shooting beside me at a gun store / range. I thought she was doing a lot of dry fires. Then she ask me to help her see why her gun was not shooting. I checked for a live round and dropped the mag and discovered she had the ammo in backward. She said it was much easier to load that way than the other way.

Was looking for a Glock 19 at the LGS and the guy behind the counter said that they were out and did not know when they would get any back in. He told me I could probably get a LNIB on the ODT for or $700!!

when i was building my rifle i wanted a scope that would sit in front of my folding backup rear sight. the guy behind the gun counter told me that it was not possible to look through the backup sights and the scope at the same time !!! REALLY !! why would i want to do that, improved accuracy maybe ??

I was once pulled over by gwinnett county, after he checked my guns i asked him about carry laws. I didnt have a permit at the time, he told me that it was completely legal to OPEN CARRY over the age of 21 without a permit. His words were that the permit is simply to CONCEAL the weapon not to carry it and that I could open carry anywhere that guns are allowed. Also whenever I had asked him this two of his fellow officers had showed up, I guess because i had guns??? idk. So thats three cops that agreed on that. I dont know how true this is im just passing along what i heard from them.

Before SB 308 that was actually the law in GA. SB 308 added lots of places to CCW but we lost non-permitted OC.

The older man that worked there up until recently shot another employee after he got startled. No an AD or ND, he turned and shot him. They put a rug over the blood stain and he kept working there.

While taking a new shooter to buy her first side arm....I was standing back while she looked through the cases.

The clerk began his rant with "hunny this gun is so powerful all you will have to do is show it to the bad guys and they will run away."

It wouldn't happen to have been a Desert Eagle .50cal, would it? I think the above statement to be true w/ the DE. LOL

Had a guy argue like crazy with my husband who was buying a firearm from him about have a carry permit... husband was law enforcement and was trying to get the guy to run him to get his gun and the guy kept insisting he could not sell to him if he didn't have a permit even if he was law enforcement and his background check came out ok. Surprisingly the hubs kept his cool, broke it down for the guy who verified it through local LEO and still bought the gun. I woulda said suck it and got gone.
