What was your first car?...What happened to your first car?

'65 GTO (Get you Tools Out) Spent as much time underneath it or over the fenders keeping it running as I did driving it. Got it when I was a junior in HS with money saved from a "bajillion" part time jobs and help from my Dad. Family moved to Long Island, NY after HS. Sold it there and had an Opel GT (poor man's Corvette) as my daily driver. Cool little car. No back seat. Was a ***** to make out in.:)

1980 firebird. What happened to it you ask? Well in the summer of 1987 I decided to go to a party. I had three bottles of tequila and ate six of those lovely worms. Well it was time to leave, so I went across the dirt road from the party to sleep in my car in this nice open field I saw going to the party. It was only 100 yards from the party. So I went. Well come to find out that field wasn't a field. It was a dang lake! Needless to say Pontiac couldn't build a boat worth a crap. 3 hours later the car was pulled from the lake. Only damage was a small dent. Glad it had a sunroof, or else I would've drowned, that's how I got out. But the insurance adjuster waited a week to come look at the car. It was July and the windows were rolled up. He opened the door, puked and said it was totaled.

1970 grabber mustang 302 (factory Boss wannabe)2bbl, single exaust. stripped. I had it for six years, sold to a high school buddy. graduated larter to Shelby and a real Boss.

Mom and dad got me a 87 GMC Jimmy. Started knockin before I turned 16 so I parked it and bought a 83 f150 for $800 and drove it until I could save enough for a long block 2.8 (big mistake).

Wound up putting a reman long block in it about a year later. Tranny lasted about 6 months.

All Ford after that turd.

90 model chevrolet silverado. I got drunk at a party one night and let a guy borrow it. He then drove it to his pot dealers house and tried to rob him. Next time I saw it it was totaled with a couple of bullet holes in the back. Yeah I was a dumbass for letting the guy use it

Okay now I'm interested. So I just need an 80s vintage 305 with the right intake for a Holley or Demon carb around say 650 CFM maybe? Then I need a Chevette or a Monza to stick it in. Probably be easier to find a 2WD Blazer though.

THe weird thing is ford is the opposite Everyone builds 302s when a 351W will fit in the same spot

The demo derby guys love the 305. They will run almost half an hour with no water before they lock up

1987 IROC Z-28. My room mate in the Navy took the keys one night and totaled it (6 months old). Cops showed up and hooked me up before we finally straightened it out in the dead of night. Room mate later suffered a serious head, shoulder and leg injury in a fall:) Loved that car!
