I got my first about 10 years ago when Anova did their kickstarter. My favorite way to sear off a steak is to get the green egg blazing hot but it's too much trouble if it's not a special occasion. My everyday go to is to heat a well seasoned 12" lodge pan over the biggest burner on my range until it's 450-500 deg.And it was easy. This was my first time. I received the Sous Vide @ 6:30pm today!
