What's the deal with prices on consecutive serial numbered guns ?

Nothing unless they're old collectibles...Colt 1911's or something. Consecutive Glocks...meh. But that's just me.

When it's a very rare piece it can significantly increase their value together. Apparently this simple concept that shouldn't need explanation has confused some neckbearded retards in to thinking it applies to current or recent production firearms.

I had consecutive serial numbered G19 and gave them to my sons. I currently have 3 consecutive numbered Anderson Arms stripped lowers and 2 consecutive numbered PSA built AR's. I asked for the consecutive numbers on the Glocks for my kids but the AR lowers just ended up that way when I received them. Not worth a penny more than any other gun.

I don't know why but most the time I buy guns the dam fools have them ground off. Now why would they do that.

They would be more or less identical if they came off the same machine in series and built by the same individuals with the same batch of parts, and perform more or less the same due to identical tolerances. This versus they were built at different times on different machines with different batches of parts by different people. But you would be making alot of assumptions. This is the only thing I can come up with.
