What's up with GLOCK?

What makes you think that Glock is doing that?

They are dropping their Gen 5 line up for their newest Gen 6/V line.

Just like not all Gen 5 parts work in the Gen 4,3,2,1.

You think a MAJOR change in design and engineering can happen in a week?!

That's not even logical.
Unless they've already been planning it for a while

I never said any of that. Of course I don't think they cranked out a new design in a week. But thinking this isn't also to placate the political climate is a bit blind. And what marketing genius came up with the "V" series? I mean there is a Gen V (5) already isn't there? Talk about confusion.

With all this bantering about the Gen 6 and some dissing on Glock corporate. We haven't even seen pics or concepts of it. Don't even know what any changes will be made. Until it is made public by Glock there really no need to postulate what they are doing.

You don't think an international company the size of Glock, with as many stakeholders as they have, has an obligation to ensure that they can continue to operate profitably in a changing political landscape? The gun operates the SAME as it always has. It's a semi-auto pistol, but helps to avoid lawsuits that could sink them. They're the bad guy here?

To think Glock is placating a political climate is crazy. When have they ever done that?

Don't worry, I'll wait..

Actually I don't have to, it was the stupid stickers they added to the boxes in the Gen 1 and 2, lol.

Also, yeah the Gen V is a stupid name, I agree 100% on that.

Why do both of you think this is because of lawsuits and California laws?

Could it not simply be to keep market shares, continuing innovation, and keep making money?

It HAS to be changed because of lawsuits and new laws?

I think it's both.

The new Glock's might be awesome. I'm not in the loop. It doesn't matter to me one way or the other, I don't own any Glock's and not planning to unless I like the new design whatever it may be
