M82A1 save the money unless you are humping it over mountains like in Afghanistan, barrel choice would be based on use. Long range shooting go with the longer barrel. If you are actually going to use it for CQB then go with the above suggestion.

Not trying to tell anyone how to spend money but I see better ROI options that have much quicker returns over a fancy rifle you can rent to shoot lmao
I have a M107A1 on layaway. 29 inch barrel for maximum range capability. Will mount another brand suppressor. If you're looking for tight groups, go bolt action. Barrett M82's were going for $8k last year. Now they're almost the same as the M107A1. And they had a model that came with Vortex PST's.
If I was gonna buy a 50 I'd buy a M2 or parts kit if you can't find a working M2. If I lived out west with lots of land to shoot on then sure id get something else. But around here a M2 would be a lot more fun.
