Nope! I am waiting for things to change politically! House and Senate are Flipping!
I have 0-500 meters, 500-800 meters covered pretty effectively and have redundancy built in to engage effectively at those ranges.
I don’t believe a .50 is a necessity for me at this point. If I were to move to the mid west or in some other open areas, my tune might change.
However, around me in GA, I don’t have the need for it at this time. There’s other things I’d like to have at this stage in my life.
Respectfully

I was intent on getting an M82A1 for the "cool" factor (it's the classic!) but I ultimately went with the M99 w/ 32" heavy barrel. My goal from the onset with a .50 BMG was medium to long range precision work on steel, and the M99 is arguably the better platform for this task when compared to the M82A1. It also helped that I still had half of my money in my pocket when I left the store with the M99. That allowed me to glass it with a NF ATACR 5-25x56 w/ Mil-R reticle in a set of Barrett Zero-Gap rings. Rock solid setup for less than the price of just the M82A1. I'm a happy camper.![]()
My personal M99 has yet to be fired, but I was able to run one alongside an M107 at a friend's property that ran out to ~980 yards. The owner of that one had it setup with an SWFA fixed 10x and with Hornady 750gr A-Max we were stacking them into ~3" group across 20 rounds and 4 different shooters (5 rounds/shooter). Accuracy of the rifle is certainly better than this if you narrow down the variables.
One of these days I'll stop being a bum and get myself up to Tennessee to properly start running mine and see what I can squeeze out of it. The weather has a long-standing hatred for my work schedule.
