I'd take the AK. A friend of mine bought a Mini 30 and it was a horror story. It took several trips back to Ruger before they finally replaced it. I know that isn't typical, but he is the only person I know who has owned one.

I had a friend that bought an AK and had nothing but problems with it so I better never buy one! Jus sayin'... Ima have both here soon the mini and a C39V2...

you might be partial "rugerrob" like me but let us know they compare. im holding out on the ak craze.

I had them both. The Mini .30 was more accurate.
It felt better in my hands, and looks better. It looks American, not Com-Bloc.

The AK-47 /AKM is probably more reliable, has higher capacity mags. (30 round standard, but 40 and 50 round versions are on the market, plus those 75 round drums).

AK mags are cheap. 1/3 the cost of 20-rd Mini 30 mags.

Your call. I sold my AK and my Mini 30 eventually.
