With the ATF crackdown on unlicensed dealers I wouldn't dare sell a firearm for a profit ever.

I make bank when I sell. I mean check out this offer. He’s offering me a Honda Jetski motor that has been sitting out in his driveway worth $5,400 for an AR15 listed for $1,000. I’ll just have to wait until the right FB marketplace eventually, someday and I can’t lose!

I have bought and sold many guns and I think there's probably two that I actually came out ahead on. One was a Beretta silver pigeon 20 gauge over and under. The Beretta I listed on GunBroker at a ridiculous price just to see if it would sell. I think it lasted for maybe 8 hours and was gone. The rest I took a financial beating on.
