I don't understand why there aren't hardly any stainless shotguns (old or new) available. I don't mean the marine/mariner coatings, but actually stainless steel. Anyone know the reason?

Why are there so few stainless shotguns available?

I'm sure cost is a factor. Even guns that are labeled "stainless" models have other metals with many of the parts.
Too flashy (literally) to hunt with & birds etc. don't wear sunglasses? 
Never thought about that. I hunt with a stainless deer rifle and the deer never seem to mind till the bullet hits them!

Yea that deos have a good bit more shine than my rifle but dang it looks good. All my local Acworth deer all they are lucky enough to get is an arrow so no worry about shine with them. But yea your right Acworth deer try to be stylish!Everybody knows Acworth deer are so cool they wear shades
The point about shiny remains, but I believe the picture in post #5 is a Stoeger coach gun which is nickel plated rather than stainless. Probably brighter shine than most stainless unless it is highly polished.
This one is stainless and I wish I could find another one. This one is actually my cousins and he won't let it go.
