I have been back and forth for a few weeks on pulling the trigger (so to speak) on a new Stacatto. I have read a ton of reviews and done a deep dive on the pistols themselves, but I'd like some opinions from people that own them rather than people that represent them. I've owned many different 1911's but never a "2011". This would NOT be a safe queen for me, I make it a point to use what I buy (which is why I don't own a lot of Nighthawk Customs or Wilson Combat pistols...it would be difficult for me to put daily use wear on a firearm like that), I will most likely use this as an EDC. If it were just a 1k weapon I wouldn't give it a second thought, but spending 3k+ and hating is not the outcome I am looking for. I see Stacatto's on the ODT off and on all of the time, it give me pause as to why. What are your thoughts cons/pros on purchasing one?

I just can't see spending that much cash on a defensive handgun that if used for it's intended purpose would possibly end up in an evidence room. I've also owned multiple 1911's, they all ended up sold because I consider them too bulky, I think a 2011 would just exacerbate that issue.

From my personal experience It’s basically just a high cap 9mm tactical 1911.

IF You run 1911’s regularly then you’d probably enjoy a Staccato.

I just have more time/experience with a factory Glock and reverted back to my original optic free set up
I prefer the KISS method with defensive firearms.

Same here. I want a 2011 to just shoot. Own about 25 other handguns including three good 1911’s. Keep looking at everything from Tisa,Pridigy,Platypus, Fusion Furearms up to the Staccato. In my mind for something I am not going to carry, the cheaper versions would probably do just fine for my range. Now that Springfield has released the 3.5 Prodigy I am leaning toward it. Also if I want to get rid of it for some reason it is usually easier to find a buyer in the 1000 range instead of the 2800 range.

I tend to use my FN 509c tactical for a daily, fairly good shooter right out of the box, easily concealed, and less than 1k. I had been contemplating sending a Glock to AGENCY ARMS to have it worked over but then I would end up with a 2k Glock. Nothing wrong with Glock's , I just don't love 'em. I might take a second look a the Prodigy. N.Ga.Trader N.Ga.Trader made some good points...

Unless you’re going with Watchtower, Atlas, Nighthawk, etc, save some cash and pick up the new Kimber 2011 for $2K. Staccato is decent though.
Unless Kimber has had a serious look at quality control, I doubt I will ever buy another one. I bought my first one in 2000, nice pistol, good shooter...I was sold on the brand. the last three that I bought (between 2015 and 2018) had issues with finish, and were pretty finicky (FTE/FTF) depending on what ammo I used..even after the ridiculous break in period.

He’s right. The new 2011 (2K11) is really nice.

If you find yourself around flowery Branch, you’re welcome to shoot mine… it’s a C2 and it’s fine. But the steel frame P is my favorite from staccato.
