Why I'm over Ar15s and all the hype.

I have 15 ARs and rarely ever shoot any of them except a Colt Blue Label and a newer Colt Lightweight LE Carbine. I love that carbine. Lightweight, no gee gaws, very accurate with 77 grain HPs and I can carry a USDA Regulation Shyteload of ammunition if I need to hump it somewhere. I drew my first one in 1983 and I will never get tired of it. I shoot wood and steel .30 caliber rifles for fun and romance. I practice with the 5.56 AR 15 for emergencies.

But AKs are mo better... :hat:

After I retired I didn't think I'd buy one I had a Mini-14 as a semi auto but as years progressed and I bought more US Service rifles from WWI-WWII I kind of thought I should get an AR.

I bought a cheap Carbon 15 Bushmaster because I wasn't going to be an operator. Heard they could melt down if they were shot too much, had to get an adaptor to put a front BUIS on it because I'm old school and optics fail.

Decided to upgrade so I traded a spare Garand for a Colt LE6920, loved it. Bought a Colt 6721 because my son wanted an AR.

Keep a cheap $350 AR in the trunk New frontier lower and PSA upper just in case.

I never had anything against the m16s I've shot or handled, but my bushmaster left some to be desired. You can stick a lot on one it's like a lego kit. If I do get another I'd either build it this time or look into a colt or a Daniel defense.
