and a heavier hammer spring?
Not as expensive as I thought it would be. Looks like I will be placing a few orders next week. I will be hitting you up along the way if that is okay with you, I have never built anything before.
I have looked at Sota Arms and was thinking about buying some of their stuff. I read some issues with their shipping taking forever. Any issues? I will be using the heavier hammer spring. One of the reasons I want to do this is to shoot the cheaper ammo. How much did the heavier hammer spring effect the trigger?
I have a sota upper but bought it used so I dont know about shipping. I dont have the heavier hammer spring but mine still eats any ammo I can feed it. Also I got 1 bad ASC mag and ASC replaced it for free and paid for shipping. I would recommend a 7.62x39 to anyone. They are a blast to shoot.

I am late in this conversation but am also a huge fan of this platform.. Fun and inexpensive to shoot. I have a Red X upper and BCG. Stoner mags.. Midway USA has/had high and low capacity Stoner mags.
Good to know that ASC stands behind their stuff. I am looking forward to starting this. What lower are you using and have you had any other FTF or FTE issues?
this is some really good info here. for sure help me if someone offers me a 7.62x39 upper for my shotty i have up for trade right now. and later on down the road if i want to add this caliber upper to the bullpen.
How are these 7.62 on accuracy? Comparable to the 5.56?
