I am not ashamed to admit it. We both work, so we both have a say on how we spend the money on a big purchase especially when we are on a budget. I just need to sell more of things I need to spend it on what I want.

I it take you share a checking account. That's Mistake #1.
I don't ask my wife when I buy anything but I also make sure that everything that needs to be taken care of that month is. I'm responsible enough to make sure I have gas and lunch money so I'm responsible enough to know if I have enough to buy a toy.

I had to do this with damn near EVERY gun I purchased when I was married. Eventually something had to give.

First rule is that if it gets to the closet without being seen, its always been there (just hiding under something else). Just don't forget to hide the box in the attic. Plan "B" is to ask her if she wants wood or syn stock on her's. Tell her your getting the syn stock so you can paint it a different color later if she wants syn also.
