Would you pay $1000 for a heavily used GI 1911?

Looks like the CMP is one step closer to releasing the 1911's to the public. They have to be released by SecArmy. But since there currently is no SecArmy they are currently in limbo. Will you buy one when they are made available, if the price is $1k?

$1000 starting? Really? I had a 1911 as a sidearm in the Navy, even if these were Navy guns (I understand they are from the Army) with all nostalgia behind I still would be hard pressed to pay $1000.

It isn't like these things are military toilet seats or hammers!
