WWII uniform pin information

Found these when cleaning out some things at my grandparents house. My grandpa passed away back in 2013 and most of his army memorabilia was stored together. Came across these 2 pins and not sure what they are. I attempted to do some research on my own and realize there are ALOT of Army Uniform PINS OUT THERE. I would just like info on what the pins are/ what they designate. He was in the army during WWII and was a part of the battle of the bulge. The back of the pins has G1 on it.

To my understanding this rank was only used from (1959–1985). I am not a WW2 veteran so I can't comment as to whether or not it was used in WW2.

That is probably correct. My father was a spec 5 in Vietnam. You're welcome.
