I LOVE all of Innovative Arms' rifle cans. They are highly underrated. The grunt mini will go on my bedside gun as soon as I can get enough in to take one home. For the size, weight, sound and cost, its unbeatable.

How does it compare to the grunt for suppression?

Grunt is obviously quieter due to a little more length. I just accept the fact that an 11.5" gun is gonna be loud and will take a short can over a long one any day, if they are not very noticeably different. If you shot them side by side, you would hear a difference. But not much.

Of course, I may have to look into one of those W.A.R. uppers. I was shooting the 11.5" gun today and gas blow back was intense unsuppressed. I can't imagine the amount of gas I will get suppressed. Gonna have to at least drop the coin for a gasbuster charging handle.

I run the WAR receiver, helps a lot in blow back and makes a difference in noise at the ear.
