Quick relief if you don’t have anything else is plain yellow mustard smeared on thick. Works great. Have used it many time, even on sunburn.
  5. Sales and deals on Prepping Food

don't forget Publix weekly BOGO sales. This week they have mustard, lighters, veggies, bbq sauce, etc. Not sure how their prices compare but I am pretty satisfied with some of their deals. About every 6-8 weeks, they run a BOGO on 8 oclock coffee at $5.99 That works out ot $3.00 per 12 oz...

  9. A SHTF item I'm sure a lot of folks dont have

Just a word of personal experience. I bought the exact same item last year with similar thoughts. I tried to use it/test it twice. Utter failure. There were leaks, one of the pieces broke, etc. I couldn't even make myself return it. Mine was a POS and I will never buy another. Great idea...
  10. Pressure cooker/canner recommendations

Many years ago I blew the pressure relief plug out being stupid. Scared me enough to leave them alone until 2 years ago when I got back into them. I follow instructions very carefully now lol. ALWAYS wait for the pressure to release on it's own before opening. I usually wait longer than the...

  16. Food for thought (no pun intended)

We have been putting extra food back for 2 years now when funds permit. We have had to use it once already when my BIL lost his job and they ran short of $$. It's amazing how seeing it first hand brings it into clear focus. Was able to give them enough food for a month for 3 people. We am...
