  1. Loading AA hulls

Never had any issues with the grey AA hulls. Never made any adjustments. Mec 9000G is the loader I used. Don't know if other models crimp differently.
  2. .452 diameter 200gr swc cast

Thanks for that info. That's good news !
  3. .452 diameter 200gr swc cast

I've got alot of these, and have test fired a couple through a 1911. Is the .452 dia. stuff O.K to shoot on a regular basis through a 1911, the couple I loaded shot fine, but all my other stuff has always been .451. Will this hurt my barrels if I shoot many of these?
  4. Magnum small pistol primers

Thanks, the issue resolved itself. A friend of mine took them off my hands. This is good info I'll pass it along to him.
  5. Magnum small pistol primers

    Loading light 9mm loads
  6. Magnum small pistol primers

What would be the negative affects of using magnum small pistol primers in non-magnum loads. Is their a way to adjust powder to accept magnum primers. Due to my stupidity I have ended up with alot of these primers, and load no magnums !
  7. ITT..you mess with the NEWBIE....

    Well, alright then !!!
  8. ITT..you mess with the NEWBIE....

Kinda like finding a set of keys, and now all you have to do is build a car. You got a lot of stuff to buy and a lot of money to spend yet, if you decide to do this.
  9. 45 GAP - does any one load ?

Yeah, been loading acp for a while. Just gotta make sure the brass stays separated. They look pretty close.
  10. 45 GAP - does any one load ?

That's what I am seeing in the manuals. Just wondering, because I have seen people in other threads mentioning they were difficult to reload. Straight wall brass, seems pretty straight forward to me. I am about to buy a G37, but the ability to reload is the only way I would buy.
  11. 45 GAP - does any one load ?

I have seen a post or two on the ODT about 45 gap being difficult to reload. Looking at my guides I don't see anything in there that seems very difficult. Am I missing something or did they not have their facts straight? If you load GAP do you have a load you really like ...
  12. 9mm Hourglass Shape?

Mine are barely noticeable but you tell a bit of an hourglass shape. I'm using older Lyman carbide dies and shot my first batch today. They shot great with the Berry's 124gr round nose. I am seating to a O.A.L 1.160, and using 4gr of Bullseye. Used a slight taper crimp, just enough to take the...
  13. .451 230gr fmj-rn .45 colt

Thanks, kinda what I thought. I believe I'll hang on to my other bullets, I've got several acp's and will eventually use em'.
  14. .451 230gr fmj-rn .45 colt

Has anyone, or can you load this bullet in .45 colt. I found a load for 200 gr swc cast bullets that I shoot through 1911's, for 45 colt. I want to buy a 45 colt, but have tons of the 230 fmj-rn that I would like to use. Any thoughts?
  15. Brass question?

Been loading my stuff fairly mild and using all winchester brass. Seems to be holding up great. The only piece I've thrown out, was a piece that while de-priming, part of the primer port around the hole, punched out with old primer. Don't know why, hasn't happened before or since.
  16. Brass question?

Thanks for the info, it was going to bum me out, if I had to get rid of good looking brass, just because it has been shot 8 times!
  17. Brass question?

Being fairly new to reloading, I have a question about brass life. My Lyman manual says about 8 shots is the life expectancy from a piece of brass( 1- factory shot and 7- reloads) and you should be diligent about keeping up with these totals and segregate your brass accordingly. So my...
  18. Wanna split a primer/powder order

Where in Macon did you pay that? BPS is high on primers, but Perry sport center had much better price on primers but was higher than BPS on powder and bullets.
  19. Wanna split a primer/powder order

I drove to the Sport center in Perry to avoid the hazmat bull-crap charge!!! I bought them for $32. per 1k. You may just want to take a road trip and you can go to The Bass Pro Shops in Macon while you are there! They both are cool stores!
  20. RELOADERS....Media Polish

Had great results from Turtle Wax polishing compound. About 4 nickel size squirts around in the media. $6 at auto zone. Had to put on my shades to look at the brass in sunlight!
