  1. I know I know, but adventure outdoors has once fired dirty 9mm brass for $37.09 per thousand

    Good on 9, .40, .223/5.56 and .308... could use some. 45 or .357
  2. Has anyone tried CFE-223

    It's my go-to for 5.56 and .308, I'm down to my last 10 lbs.
  3. What have you reloaded today?

just knocked out 100 rounds of .223, but haven't got any room left in the cans. Guess I need to unload a bunch.
  4. SCORE!!

After searching for nearly 2 years, I finally found a box of Large Rifle Primers for $60. The store had a fair supply of SPP and SRP as well and some various powders. They also said other supplies are starting to flow again and they plan to start restocking reloading equipment, It was a local...
  5. Very Impressed

Started with the Harbor Freight dual rock tumbler, using water, Dawn, Vinegar and brass polisher. I could do about 100 pistol or 50-75 rifle shells until I got a Lyman Cyclone... that beast can process 1000 pistol or 700 rifle shells at a tile. Just needed to increase the formula. The worse part...
  6. Question about reloads

At 700 rounds, you have 1/2 lb of Bullseye powder, and plenty of primed shells... A collet puller would make short work of them. Not sure I'd trust the powder, maybe reload a few with less powder and give them a try. What are you looking for them?
  7. Looking for nice multi stage press

I second that, I started with a turret press, then bought a used progressive press that needed losts of tinkering AND a lot of new parts to replace the worn out bits. I can make my press work, but there's some areas that never worked well (primer and bullet feed).
  8. Need some help reloading

what powder and weight bullets are you using for the .308, I've got a press semi-portable, already set for .308 and my powder drop is set for a certain powder/weight formula. I don't have dies for 6.5 CM so can't help there.
  9. What’s everyone doing about primers?

Got lucky a while back, got 3000 SRP and 3000 SPP, plus lots of powder. short on brass, and low on lead/copper... Saving what I have just in case the election goes sideways late Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. I really NEED LRP to feed my long range efforts.
  10. Where do you buy your components?

I haven't seen primers for less than $125/1000, SRP seem to be more abundant than others, SPP aren't as rare, but good luck finding them. LRP and LPP are made from a new mineral called unobtainium and as rare as an honest politician.
  11. Fantastic bullet puller

I have to admit, they honored their warranty, sent them back on Saturday and got a full refund on Tuesday.
  12. Fantastic bullet puller

Right now about 150 .308 rounds. Almost my entire stock. I realized my powder drop wasn't set right because I misread the scale. I'm 10 grains off on all of them. The kinetic puller takes 6 or 7 whacks for each round.
  13. Fantastic bullet puller

I got the pistol version as well, unfortunately I have a turret press that won't work with this thing. I'm waiting to see if I can get a RMA for both, otherwise, the pistol puller may be available soon.
  14. Fantastic bullet puller

Just got mine, and it's junk for my purpose. My "secondary" press is a turret and it won't work for pistol. The rifle version won't work on my rounds for 2 reasons, 1 - not enough bullet to grip and 2 - WILL NOT WORK if you have arthritis.
  15. Fantastic bullet puller

OK... I just succumbed to the hype. I have the "Mil Spec Rifle and Pistol pullers ordered. I went to load up some .308 rounds and double checked the weight of the powder. I have a powder drop I use just for .308 so I've always trusted it. I then checked my logs, and the books... and discovered...
  16. Where can I find a bag of shot?

If stores don't have any, try a Dive Shop and look for the "soft weights", they're just shot in a bag, from 2 to 8 pounds... might be a pricier than at a LGS...
  17. Reloading Classes

Find a mentor that's willing to teach you. learning the basics is the first stumbling block, learning the short-comings of any equipment is the next. Feeling overly confident once you get past these 2 brings you to being negligent on checking powder drops and amounts causing squibs (we've all...
  18. Here's the ****ing problem.

The way supplies are rising in price, I think once I've exhausted my current supplies, I'm retiring from reloading. Right now, I have enough supplies to hold off a reasonable Zombie horde...
  19. What did you reload today?

Got a load of .40S&W shells in the wash, after I get them out of the dryer, I'll load up a bunch. Last week was .223 shell prepping...
  20. Decent primer for those threads that begin....

Well, my initial investment of $50 for 3 boxes of used reloading gear produced about $600 of sold items (various pew-pew parts, a press I'd never use, cast bullets I wish I had kept). Of that $600, I acquired a used Lee LM, dies and various parts (powder drops, mounting hardware). So I'm well...
