10 most common reloading mistakes

Notably missing:

1) Failure to charge (squib round).

2) Bullet seated too deep (overpressure).

3) Wrong primer, particularly soft primers in guns with free floating firing pins.

4) Failure to properly label reloads.

Did not clean case, square the primer pocket, clean the primer pocket, trim the case, bevel the inside of the case, and remove burrs on the outside of the case.

Proper setting of dies, and recheck the length of the cases before primer installation, powder properly dropped to exact grain weight, bullet seating to no more than the maximum overall length, or check to make sure sure the loaded case will properly load into the chamber.

Just a few suggestions to consider to add to the above list....

plus safety, safety, safety is very important in the reloading process..........

I think these types of reminders cannot be over stated. It's like gun safety rules, saying them over and over helps you be alert and practice safety. Same with loading....making the rules simple and repetitive can save you from stupid mistakes.

Did anyone read any of the responses? There was one guy that said he blew up 8 guns ??!! That is one guy I want to stay a long ways away from!! Experimental of not...that's idiotic!!
