You would need to check NADA for a value. If I had to guess without seeing it I would say it was between $2000 and $2500 . And that would be for a running driving car. If you intend to fix it then go to Car-Part.com and click on the results that read Used Auto Parts Market. It saves you a lot of time on the phone with junk yards. You can find your parts as well as miles,condition,interchange years,price and distance from your zip code.

I'd run an ad in the local paper and Penny Pincher, Craig's List, etc., for $300 - YOU PICK IT UP!

Then tally the bill.

$300 minus ($85 advertising, $150 fuel charge, $70 salvage fee (U-Haul), $60 commission, $6 for donuts, so cost of sale is $371) = negative $71. Call him and tell him he can send a Postal MO for $70 and you'll call it even.
