I'm not a statistician but I'd bet that more whitetail deer have been taken with the 30-06 through the years than any other caliber, I know I have.........

Are you kidding? Most "hunters" do good just to shoot a deer in the side at 50 yards.

Years ago the 30-30 was leading in whitetail fatalities.
