.357SIG: What’s the point of this cartridge?

I occasionally load 90 grain Leigh defense and 90 grain hornady xtp’s in 357 sig. Can safely push them into the 1600+ fps neighborhood and they are absolute BOMBS! water filled pumpkins completely vaporize. I love 10mm and 9mm and dont discriminate much with cartridges as I love most of them however the 357 sig with 90 grainers is a lot easier to carry than my 10mm setups and I’d trust it just as well on any circumstance I can think of. They are also same point of aim at 10 or 100 yards which is also good fun on the range!

At $2 a round that ain’t cheap. I’m guessing your loads are a lot less then $2 a round

I’d like to know test barrel specs but DAMN!!! I guess I’ve gotta find what powder they are running…. I currently use unique and bullseye but don’t load sig much because it’s a little bit of a PITA.

I personally like the more power behind the .357 sig round . It makes bigger holes in stuff I shoot vs 9mm that’s my personal opinion though.

Cool posts. I don’t get the “10mm handguns are too big to carry” though. My 10mm S&W M&P 2.0 compact 15+1 is about the same size as a Glock19 and I’ve found it very manageable carrying & shooting; my 23 year old daughter does as well. I am a big fella and she works out regularly…?
