I need to have a couple of key fobs programmed for my son's 2008 Cobalt. Apparently, you need the pesky GM Tech 2 tool. I'm tempted to buy one since the freakin dealer wants $100 EACH to program these stupid things!

I found a local locksmith that did two fobs and cut me a key for $60Call around. Different dealers change different.
But yeah, you stuck with paying them.
