Anyone have access to a GM TechII tool?

I need to have a couple of key fobs programmed for my son's 2008 Cobalt. Apparently, you need the pesky GM Tech 2 tool. I'm tempted to buy one since the freakin dealer wants $100 EACH to program these stupid things!

Yep. Of all the things I think to look for in buying a car, programming it for keys and remotes never made the list. Oh well.

I found a local locksmith that did two fobs and cut me a key for $60
