Anyone here like (or remember) MANWICH?

Mom made sloppy joes but I don’t remember a can of anything being added. Can’t remember the exact recipe but I think it involved onion, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, onion salt and garlic salt, maybe mustard. seems like it hit the rotation about every other week. Sometimes on hamburger bun, sometimes on white bread. Haven’t had one in 50 years but sounds pretty good right now.

I like the sloppy joe mix from Aldi better than manwich. I have it once a month or so with venison.

I'm a Steak-umm man. Never could get into Meatloaf or Sloppy Joes for some reason.

Chris Farley was one of the greats. Fat guy in a little coat Van down by the river are just a couple of my old favorite SNL sketches. Adam Sandler is pretty good too.

I mean the canned type that you add ground beef to in order to make a meal. As a kid I remember there being all kinds of yucky green bell peppers and onions and stuff in the sauce. Now, 50+ years later, I find myself buying a can to add to some ground beef and whoah! What a difference a few decades makes. The Manwich sauce I bought today was barely more than some ketchup with maybe a hint of Pad Thai sauce added. It is thinner than tomato sauce!

Anyone else remember the 70's version?

I have the same memory if it. Didn't like it then, sounds like I wouldn't like it now.

We had it growing up and my kids had it growing! My son is 47 and he still eats it about once a month or so. Wife fixes some about every couple months with chopped bell pepper and onions in it!
