ARRGH Bad luck

Sometimes i use the shotgun for the hogs since it is still small game season

speaking in relation to the deer only.

yeah i would hope your using a bow since that is the only season thats in for deer at the moment, sissy season doesnt start for another 2 weeks.

Rifle hunters are sissys? bwahaha...killing is killing..bow or gun, just as long as you enjoy the outdoors. Now...on that note, Ive used a knife before to hunt hogs, when does the current sissy season end? :P

Sorry to hear of your luck.... as others have pointed out, you seem to be in the right area.... maybe try your luck at a crossbow.... work your way back to the bow....
