My best friend bought a baitcasting reel when we first moved up here and I bought a boat. He paid almost $400 for it. It had a computer chip in it to where it when it was adjusted correctly it would not free spool when casting. To adjust it all you did was take the lure and hold it over the water, then hit the release lever and when it hit the water adjusted to where it stopped. That thing would cast for a mile so to speak. I'm an open face junkie myself a spinning red real addict.
