Anyone got any recommendations for a good knockoff brand for extra batteries? I'd rather avoid paying $70+ each for actual Dewalt brand batteries. Looking for extra 20V batteries, preferably at least 4ah.

I have a 15+ year old 12V Dewalt that I use occasionally around the house. I found replacements on Amazon for about half the cost of OEM. Read the reviews and you should be OK. Just make sure it's a full battery and not a "rebuild" kit.

If you are handy with a soldering iron you can replace the cells pretty easy. Knock off batteries will have factory second cells that wont output their rating

Ive got a set of Rigid batteries that Im going to take to Batteries Plus when they fail. Theyre not under the lifetime warranty so I figured Id see what they would charge to replace the guts. Might be something for you to check out.

Nevermind. Misread your post..
