So you want a court case where a judge agreed with a LEO.

I am an engineer so I like to look at the facts. It just irritates the **** out of me when people automatically jump to one extreme or the other. When we had our issues (when I got my sig line) you would always give the LEO a pass and found your statement where a LEO should be trusted more than a judge, silly. Show me the facts then we'll decide. Both parties will give their "side".

Just like this story, the official report is nothing like the news report. I am VERY suspicious of the official report and am a little suspicious of the girl's account of it. I doubt all were on her car right away. Show me the video, I suspect the grocery store has some of the parking lot. If there were in fact 6 agents there I would expect they had at least 1 cam or at least microphone of it. Regardless of the facts here, the LEO's did over react, no night in jail was required.

The court case in question here that I was quoting was graham vs. Connor. I don't mind admitting that a leo was wrong, such as my opinion in this case. However I do believe that Monday morning quarterbacking in most situations is inappropriate. But in a case such as this, it appears it was a planned (or lack of) operation, and a lot of things went wrong when they shouldn't have and there is no excuse for it.

If the "Police" want people to like them again, then they need to start doing a better job of policing their own. The number of bad cops seems to be on the rise. With more and more technology out there in the "Civilian" (I hate that term) hands people are becoming more aware of misdeeds done by rogue cops. This gives the entire force a black eye. If you guys are the angels you say you are, then ACT LIKE IT. You guys appear to be a bunch of thugs, the kind I remember as bullies in high school, nothing more.

The cold hard truth is PhD candidates are not the ones breaking down the doors trying to get into the police academy. Basically, there are three types of people wanting to be police; bullies, those who are bullied, and those who truly want to serve in a respectful manner. Unfortunately, much like well meaning politicians who go to Washington with the best of intentions, the third group of applicants are quickly out numbered by the first two groups and they either conform to the 'good ol' boy" way of doing things, or they become frustrated and either quit the force or remain silent and look the other way biding their time until retirement.

I can tell you that when you search gwinnett county courts my arrest still shows up (We proved my ex-wife's charges were bogus and the case dropped) but it is still there, easily accessible via the public website.

I am sure their are legal avenues to get the record fixed bust I would imagine it is a royal PITA. However in this case it is such an imbarrasment it would be much easier to get removed.
