I’m going to order a dehumidifier for my reloading room this weekend. Given all ammo/brass/powder are stored in sealed containers I’d like to think exposure of any issues is minimal, but a dehumidifier for that room couldn’t hurt I guess

That's what I did. I bought a "scratch & dent" solid core door from Lowes and cut it down and mounted that to the top of the cheesy monkey wood bench top (Kobalt steel workbench). It works great. I even trimmed the edges with molding and stained it with very dark wood stain/sealer. It looks very posh and is a solid surface for anything I want to do.I know you're trying to save a few bucks but the other option is to just put another slightly larger 'top' over the existing one and bolt them together. Would add some rigidity and give you the right angles.
It will not hurt. Keep your primers in ammo cans with good gaskets or get those plastic totes that have the one-piece rubber gaskets in the lids for airtight seals.I’m going to order a dehumidifier for my reloading room this weekend. Perfect setup. My bench is a solid core door that was removed from a meat/ storage room in a old store we demo’d in downtown Atlanta bout 25 years ago. “Character “ and seasoned! That's what I did. That's not a bad idea at all...let's face it...even if I order the press today, they are 8 - 12 weeks out from delivery...so I've got time to ponder lol
