Some company or entity or educational institution has made the entire text (and only the text) of this book available, free, online.

William H. Jordan (1911-1997) popularly known to firearms enthusiasts as "Bill Jordan" throughout the 1960s through the 1980s. He was a WWII combat vet, 30-year career officer in the U.S. Border Patrol, and a writer of many articles and some books about firearms. He could reach for his holstered pistol, draw it, and fire it (double action) with enough accuracy to hit an opponent in the chest, all in 1/4 of a second. That's about the same amount of time most people would need just to pull the trigger on an already-cocked gun. A quarter-second after you flash the "GO" light they could press the trigger. He studied the art of gunfighting and practiced it in real life.

Anyhow, his book is called No Second Place Winner. First published in 1967 and with the copyright last renewed about 10 years later.
