Building a reloading bench

About 8 years ago I got an old school desk from the local habitat store. Under 50 bucks, about 5'*2.5' and solid as a rock. Check for used desks

These old desk work great. I had one for years before moving where I am now. I didn't have as much surface space, but the drawers were great.

I went to the Depot tonight and brought almost everything I need. I forgot to get a couple more 2x4s for the lower bracing and shelf but I'll go back tomorrow. So far cost is $94.

Weighs nearly as much as a bag of cement, and it's a heck of a lot more awkward!

Use a solid core door from home depot

That's exactly what I did a few years ago and it's holding up great.

Solid core door from Home Depot and 2 cabinets off Craigslist. $100 in it and it works great. Really needs a coat of stain though.

Looking good! Build a frame about 6 inches off the ground and sheet it with plywood. Makes for a hell of a storage area.

Yea thats what I'm going to do tomorrow, need another 2x4. The question I have is how to frame it out? Short side 2x4 go across the inside of the legs and the long side 2x4 go outside the legs?

I did mine all on the inside, but I framed my legs in an L shape
