Can a wife sell her husbands guns in GA?

If she has a TPO he is required to give them up to the local Sheriff. You cannot steal from your spouse in Georgia. In a Divorce the firearms may become part of an equitable distribution. Normal, stable people lose their minds in a divorce. Sounds like he lost his before the divorce. I would not get involved except on the down low. He can come after you and yours. I have been escorted by a Deputy to my truck more times than I care to remember.

I dont think there is a correct answer. I've seen it done with no repercussions more than twice.
I'd go with what Cobalt on this. He kinda knows what he's talking about.
If I were her I would not turn the guns in to the police. If she is hiring an attorney I am sure her counsel can tell her what to do with the guns. If she turns them in they may never get them back.
I value natural individual property rights..I would never take from someone what they own for any reason. Marriage makes no exception. Even if she purchased and gave it as a gift.Its know his property. If she fears for her safety and wants the guns gone from her presence in light of said events .Common sense approach would be to turn them in to LE and his mental state will determine if he is suitable to have them returned and hope the woman is being truthful.
Based on what he did to her and then tried to do to himself well she should just say "What guns"? I have no idea where they are or where they went. They fell off the boat somewhere!
I dont think she should sell them. Unless one of them is a Winchester mdl 42. In that case contact me
It would be far better if he fell off the boat wearing cement shoes.
