Don't forget to remind them that if they use non OEM parts that WILL increase your claim for "diminished value".

You had an "all OEM" vehicle, now you have a partly OEM vehicle with a bunch of non-OEM parts stuck on it.

Having worked for several state insurance departments, it is a good resource. The "insurance company influence" over the DOI is on much bigger items/issues than a single auto claim.

Don't see why that's funny.
Most shops doing insurance jobs are gonna use junk parts as cheap as they can find.
The Ford dealership uses OEM Ford parts.
Chevy dealership is gonna use OEM GM parts.
