Cobb "Concealed Carry Permits" Have Tripled Normal : Four Hour Wait

"I have been waiting here nearly four hours," Mike Mosquito said.

According to a probate court clerk, the past two weeks have seen a steady increase in conceal carry permit applications. On Friday they processed more than 130 applications. The number of applications, before things got busy, according to the clerk was 30 to 40 a day. The wait time then was roughly 10 minutes.

Well at least more people are stepping up and wanting to carry. After this rush it should go back to normal. Luckily I got a few years left before mine expires.

Mine in Dawson only took 30 mins or so, but that's cause they only had one woman working in the probate court

I read something similar for Cherokee county, even the probate judge Keith Wood is in the front office helping. They are averaging 200+ applications a week since the Newtown shooting.

That's crazy! Glad people are wanting to carry more now. I only have one year left on my permit. Hopefully everything will calm down by then.
