If weight is an issue get yourself a Keltec sub2000 in .40 caliber, with upgraded mcarbo sights and a red dot. It’s all you need for defensive out to 50 yards or so. Crazy light. It would make a great carbine for all the teachers that want to arm up, IMO.

I recommend that you buy a brand new AR and NOT an AR that is for sale on here that was "built" using cheap parts from different manufacturers.

I just thought I was having fun ringing 6" plates with a 7mm-08 at 300 till i bought an AR15 with a 20" BBL. We have 10acres to shoot on so i had my 15yr old daughter smashing plate/helping me building AR's in no time.
