I set my brace height on my crossbow string today and zeroed in at 20 yards.
Once consistent and satisfied I brought it back to 30 yards.
I was shooting off a table and my buddy’s crossbow was next to mine.
I moved it over a bit so I would clear his once my limbs expanded
Guess I didn’t move it enough and my limb just tapped his buttstock lightly but enough to throw my string and give me a nasty recoil to the cheeck weld which felt like a left hook to the cheek.
My limbs are fine but My string got ruined at the serving.
Ran out of daylight so I didn’t put my spare new string on so looks like tomorrow I gotta do it all over again.
The good thing is it’s an Excalibur and string changes are easy and the weapon is tough as nails.
