I have always wanted a cut down, side by side shotgun. I do not know why, just always thought they were pretty cool. I'm no stranger to NFA and have cans, SBRs, and a 12" 870 with a stock to scratch that short 12 gauge itch.

I do have an older (no SN) Stevens double barrel that may be a good donor, and could come up with the $200 to stamp it. I'm wondering if anybody around here has gone this route and if it's a worthwhile adventure? I don't have any woods or land to plink so it would only get to be enjoyed to at my less frequent range trips and hanging on the wall at home.

Admit it, you want a Mad Max pirate gun...

I sent my Mossberg SBS barrel out for chokes, sounds really funny but it holds pattern really well. Actually used it out on a sporting clays course

I’m doing one later this year, a la Mad Max. Can’t say why, just always wanted one. I’ve already got the donor gun, just need to do the Form 1 and then the work.
