Decent start for a .22 SBR upper?

Wanting a .22 upper for my SBR. Is this a decent start? Cut the barrel down. Change out the hand guard. Price doesn't seem bad.

Since your going to spend the time and wait 6-7 months I'd go with something a little better then dpms. That's just my two cents though.

I believe he already has the SBR'd lower, so there is no wait

Eh for the money I'd spend a bit more and get something a bit better.

No wait but I do agree on the quality issue. It's not ideally what I want but it seemed like a quick option.

I've been told I'm impatient. I dunno if its true since I always walk off before they're done explaining. My stamp isn't in for my .22 can yet any way so I might as well do it right while I wait.

Exactly. Would be a shame to have a sweet sbr, cut the barrel down , put a can on it and find out the upper blows ding dong.
