deer hunters help please

I don't have a problem hiking a mile or so in but bringing a bow, blind, and enough stuff to keep me out there all day (food,water,and what not) would be hard. then if I kill something how the hell am I going to get all that back to the truck?

Get you a deer cart or make one.

A little bit at a time. I usually take a couple trips back and forth after a kill. Field dressed deer is easier to drag out. Its all in a days work my friend. Scouting out a good path in and out helps to. Besides, when you kill a MONSTER buck you'll be fine with it.

Yes and no. Usually you can walk some of the way in on a fire road but it all depends on where you are going.

You do an online course for like $10 and I believe the class at Basspro was $25-30. You only play that 1x though. Your sportsman license is $50 per year.

The online course is not enough to get liscence. My son just took it and he still has to have a hands on class

Free if you go take the class. 1-2 days depending on location.
I even got a free dinner at the one I went to.

I have a hand held GPS with topo maps already loaded. I'm not sure if there is a free source of free topo maps online. Maybe someone who knows can chime in...
