Nope apparently it's up to the dealer if they want to or not, happened to me. I had a gun transferred to a gun store 2 mins from
My house cause I saw great deal, when it arrived I went in and tried to pick it up, I gave him both my license and he gave me the permit back and said he doesnt need that. Sure ok I was fine with that, so he calls in and 15 mins later he tells me I'm denied, and I asked him why? I just bought a gun at the show last Sunday and he said NICS don't tell them anything so long story short, I ended up having to pay to have it shipped back and paid shipping AGAIN to have it shipped to Cherokee whom I found out after getting denied because I knew I was clean so went ahead and had to ship to Cherokee to be picked up. I went thru the NICS process and at the same time went and picked it up at Cherokee with no problem. Waited 6 months for a letter from NICS stating I was approved, gave me a printed paper stating I was approved and had a certified stamp to prevent fraud.
