Have before. Every time I go to the range, make sure my G23 and LCP get a few rounds down range to make sure they are working well. But with hearing protection of course, lol. I had thought about getting a G33 for EDC, but as you've stated the sound is insane for a round that size! I own a G31 and it always gets the "wth is this guy shooting" by others at the range! Ha!

.357sig is a beast. busted out the G31C one time and folks hit the ground for cover

Forgot to put my plugs back in after reloading the .500 magnum revolver.
I was using the 440 grain hard cast corbon loads and I blew my eardrum when I fired.

It was very painful and my ears were ringing badly.

My left ear took the worst of it and hurt for a couple weeks and my hearing was substantially affected.

I have shot deer rifles that don't seem to bother me like that revolver did probably because of the design difference.

Haha, back when I had my 226 in 357 sig people from 4 lanes over were coming over to see wtf I was shooting, I don't know how it compares to a 357 magnum, but that 226 let out a hefty sized fireball, when my father in law shot it I could feel the thump in my chest when It went off..Powerful sun of a ***** it was.

Don['t know if monte has stepped in already, but I've heard reports that in defense situations muzzle flash and noise don't really affect you due to adrenaline. Think about it, cops don't wear ear protection in their line of duty. Many cops do carry .40, 357 sig, 45 acp etc.

Spent enough time near artillery in the Marines and my hearing is questionable at times, no need to make it any worse. Sometimes I even wear plugs and muffs.
