No.These days I think they're more intent on killing enough deer with anything to satisfy the car insurance industry. So they did away with that restriction and the one for the 5.9" barrel length.

Makes sense. Not very humane to kill with anything under 500 ft lbs of energy imo though. But there are quite a few deer roaming the woods nowadays in Georgia. Maybe too many but you'll never hear this cat complain. We may all need those deer at end times to avoid starvation.

I know it is plenty big enough. I stopped this doe two seasons ago with my 4" GP100. It was only about a 10 yard shot. Iron sights, with a Hornady 125 gr JHP. It pole axed her.
