Because I was tagged on this thread I am just now seeing this for the first time. I went back to the beginning to see what the topic matter was. I'm driving so I have not looked very closely. But bottom line I have deer hunted with 357 Magnum and 44 Magnum handguns since the mid 80s with equal success by both.
