Just curious to see if any members on this forum are owners of a Dodge Demon, Hellcat, Hellcat Redeye, Or Viper. I’m looking into a possible purchase of one of these vehicles and just wanted some overall feedback and General thoughts from an owners standpoint. Things to look out for, was it worth the money spent... Etc, Etc. Help a fellow ODT brother out. Thanks gents.

Don’t own one personally but two buddies bought Hellcat Challengers on the same day: one auto, one manual. 8-speed auto is much quicker but the manual is obviously a blast and still quick. They’re both comfortable and relatively practical.

The guy with the auto car wishes he’d gotten a Charger for even more practicality combined with the automatic. Guy with the manual loves his.

Coming from modded cars in my past, I like the idea of a turnkey hotrod. May own one myself one day.

Practicality aside, a last generation Viper would be sweet and I think will be a true collector car one day since they are out of production. Resale value will always be better than the others mentioned.

Ive had a charger and a manual challenger. What are your questions? What is your use? Also there is at least one demon owner on this group, Ill let him speak up if he wishes.

I have always had a passion for sports cars. Had two vettes ..98 , 2000 and four Vipers... 02, 05, 08 and a 2014. Each one was better than the previous. Basically a street legal race car. My opinion is none of the cars you mentioned are investments unless you park them and don’t drive them for 30 years and that’s no fun.. They are fun to drive especially in the mountains in the twisties They can be expensive to repair if you tear them up. I babied mine even though they were pushing over 600 hp and only weigh 3,300 pounds. Only “viper” mechanics can work on them at the dealerships. Rear tires are $500 plus each. I’m not sure if the other cars you mentioned require anything like that. I recently sold mine and purchased an Audi R8 Spyder. It’s a very different sports car. V 10, 620 hp all wheel drive etc.
Whichever you choose, enjoy them for what they are...big toys. Above all, be safe because most guys don’t realize just how much 600 plus hp is and how quickly you can get yourself in trouble.

Hope that helps. Feel free to shoot me a pm if you have further questions and we can exchange numbers

Good luck. Bibs

Personally I like the challenger with the widebody fender flares

I think it would be much better as a frequent driver than the viper.

although the all wheel drive hemi charger would be fun too.

Thank you everyone that gave your honest input and responded to my inquiry. You e all been a great help and gave most valuable assistance in helping me decide.
